OVO takes 3 Stripes?

By now, depending on who you are and how much you keep up with the celebrity x brand drama, you've seen that there are rumors that Mr. Aubrey Graham aka Drizzy Drake seems to be in talks with the likes of Run DMC, Kanye West, and Pharrell. How true these talks are, we aren't aware but if it is true.. Jumpman has some explaining to do.

According to sources, Drake is not diggin' the lack of creative freedom he's been granted or lack thereof. Personally, I can see both parties side of this *rumored* disagreement. With Jordan Brand, they're exactly that... a brand. With a set of values and a goal in mind. They obviously cannot stray too far from what they are and diminish the way people have come to view them, it isn't really the type of brand that can typically switch up on a whim. Jordan Brand is exactly what it reads, Michael Jordan's brand. This is exactly why non-OG, or really just crazy random colorways, sit. I have the pleasure of having Reggie Saunders, Senior Director of Entertainment Marketing, as my professor for Innovation of Entrepreneurship in Sport and Entertainment class for my Sports Business minor in school. He has blessed us with the inside knowledge of how hard they fight to stay on brand, to turn down the blasphemous ideas that parts of teams throw at them- thinking you can just throw together something and sell it as if MJ would go for it.

Now for Aubrey? I understand it as well. You see Kanye get scooped up and "saved" or "free'd" from his creative stifling by Jon Wexler of Adidas and you're thinking "That could be me..." and I am all for making the jump out of the safety of sales and out of your comfort zone but OVO J's are still selling like hot cakes. Now if he's trying to rebrand himself... y'know that "retire by 35 mentality" and the fact that he's been rocking more trainers as of late, Just Do It. Oh, wait..

Okay but these OVO x Addy mockups though..
